Face down, Butt up... That's the way my kids like to sleep. I guess like brother like sister because this is usually how I find my kids in the mornings.

Ever wonder what happens when a 2 year old shoves an M&M mini up their nose, well we do now. Easton told us he put one in his nose but we couldn't feel it so we thought he was just joking around until minutes later he had chocolate dripping from his nostril. I think they can officially change their slogan to melts in your nose not in your hand.

Baptism

I was honored with the privilege of being asked to be the Godmother of my best friend Natalie's son Chase. This last weekend was his baptism in good old Catholic fashion. Chase is only 3 weeks older then Leighton so I know we will be watching our kids grow up together so being Chase's Godmother is just icing on the cake because I have known him since he was only hours old and I love him like he was my own. Natalie and Tom are Easton's Godparents so we will be celebrating a lot of special occasions together over the next 20 years and beyond. Here are some pictures of the baptism and one of Chase and Leighton BFF's!!!

It's been forever!!!

So it's been forever since I have posted on here but I have been somewhat busy. Wade and I welcomed the arrival of our baby girl on May 20th, 2009 After going into false labor on more then one occasion Leighton Marie Tacheny made her debut weighing in at 7lbs 3oz and 20 inches long. She was perfect, I guess I can't complain too much because when she finally did decide to come she came right out after one push. I don't think I could of dreamed up an easier labor. So with that being said I have been spending most of the summer so far enjoying my kids. I got to spend 8 weeks at home with them and it was a blast, Easton is getting so big and mature. He loves being a big brother, he definitely hasn't experienced any loss of attention I think he has actually become more spoiled by his aunt Ne Ne and grandparents. I thought Leighton and I would form a huge bond with me being home but that sure didn't last long she has quickly become a daddy's girl, she loves laying on her daddy's stomach and falling asleep and when she is upset he is the only one to calm her down. He just has away with babies I guess !!! So far this summer has been awesome even though Wade and I spend most of our time calming down a new born or chasing after a 2 1/2 year old but it has been an adventure and we are enjoying every minute (maybe not every minute) Here are some photos of the kids, I will post more summer events soon.
